Hey guys, just wanted to drop an entry down to let you know what's up with the comics. I tried to get the pages done last week but there was so much prep work to get done for Rose City that I wasn't able to get any drawing done. I have a couple more cons coming up; one is this Saturday at a Mini Comic Con being held at the Puyallup Public Library in Puyallup, WA: www.puyallupfestivalofbooks.co…
I don't think I need to do too much prep work for that one, but I am also planning to table at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo on October 5-6 which will be a bit more labor intensive: retrogamingexpo.com/
It's kind of last minute, I was approached by one of the organizers who said they have a lot of vendors selling used games, but not enough people selling art. So I have a limited amount of time to come up with some more video game art and get them printed which may also slow down my comic page production over the next 2 weeks. If you guys have any video game print suggestions, send 'em my way! I am planning to work on my comics tonight and hopefully get something done!
The Rose City Comic Con was a lot of fun although I didn't sell much. I sold 3 copies of "Willem" to friends and I think I sold 6 prints? I heard from other vendors that it was generally slow. I need to learn how to be a better salesman like David Wong who was tabling next to us and totally rockin' it. But it was fun! I saw a lot of cool costumes and vendor items. I bought a stuffed llama, it's pretty great. I wish I had gotten a chance to take pictures, but my camera sucks anyway. I hope people will start putting some up on Facebook.
Anyway, so that's where I'm at. Comic updates will continue to be sporadic until the con season ends; which I think is pretty soon. Thanks for your patience and sticking with me.
The saddest part is I have absolutely no time to play GTA V, waaaahhhh!!! Haha.
Keep in mind I do plan on making a longer version at some point but it will probably be a while
before that happens because my next priority is wrapping up Split Screen, cleaning up some of the old art and putting out a full series book of that! Talk to you later.
