Hey everyone, I got the announcement today that Deviant Art will be switching over to Eclipse permanently next month. In all honesty, I have been considering leaving DA for a while but I was hoping to wait until my Core Memberships expired (January) but this announcement has kinda given me the push I needed to decide to move on.
While I don't like Eclipse (I don't find it very user friendly and as an old person learnin' new stuff can be frustrating, haha) that's not solely the reason I wanted to leave. DA has a few features I've enjoyed in the past, mostly the organized gallery and folders which is a lot of the reason I stayed on the site. P
Running in the Same Damn Place
I finished up the last of my commissions for the year a few days ago. This marks the beginning of my indefinite hiatus from them. I've been steadily working on commissions every month for a few years now and just really needed a break. Right now I'm planning at least two months, possibly longer depending on how I feel after that time. Barring of course any unforeseen bills or emergencies I need some extra cash for.

As someone who spends the majority of their time alone working on the computer, I really do value the online friendships and relationships I have. I really appreciate all the comments and messages that you send to me. I even feel quite close to many of you even though we'll likely never meet or even hear each other's voices.
Sometimes I may not even know what your face looks like. And I do appreciate the need for anonymity online, if you never want me to see what you look like or know your first name I understand that. But I do admit I am a very curious creature. If you ever want to
Combine Magazine Closure
As some of you may have seen, my business partner Jake made the announcement today that we've decided to shutter the doors on Combine magazine. This was a decision that we made based on a lot of factors... Jake went into more detail on the post. It's pretty disappointing, as publishing Combine magazine was actually a lot of fun. Every time we had a new issue in our hands to paw through was always very exciting. I'm really sad to see it go.
I know a lot of the issue for me is that it's become increasingly more difficult the past few years to get into conventions in my area. This is the main reason why I haven't printed a second Devil Spy book
